The Spirit of the Valley never dies
She is called the Hidden Creator
Although She becomes the whole universe
Her immaculate purity is never lost
Although She assumes countless forms
Her true identity remains intact
Whatever we see or don’t see
Whatever exists or doesn’t exist
Is nothing but the creation of this Supreme Power
Tao is limitless, unborn, eternal –
It can only be reached through the Hidden Creator
She is the very face of the Absolute
The gate to the source of all things eternal
Listen to Her voice
Hear it echo through creation
Without fail, She reveals her presence
Without fail, She brings us to our own perfection.”
Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
Have you ever wondered how we came to be here? How has all the life around us evolved into such complex forms that are so delicately balanced within their ecosystems?
I absolutely love to spend time out in nature observing both plants and wild life in their natural environments. I believe that we can learn a great deal from observing nature.
The sage Lao Tzu, and many others like Jesus and Buddha spend a great deal of time out in nature, both contemplating the lessons to be had in a simple flower or ways to show others how to better understand the kingdom of heaven, by watching the birds and flowers of the fields. From these observations we can see how the Father beautifully clothes, and bountifully feeds the plants, birds and animals dependent on his care.
Jesus said, in Matthew 6:25“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life.e ?
28“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?”
Buddha said that “A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity.”
To grow like a beautiful flower, we must trust in the hidden creator to provide for all of our needs. We must look to the source of all life, to see how to best live our lives. If we live a life filled with kindness and compassion, forgiveness and love we will find rest and happiness for our souls.
Every situation has a lesson or reason for being. If we can study the situation and observe the lesson to be gained we will better understand why we are here, and how we may best accomplish our life’s purpose.
I wish you many happy hours out in nature enjoying the peace and serenity to be found there. Until next time, Namaste and Gods Peace to all.
